This is horrifying.
Mia Matsumiya has been on the Internet a long time. And she’s been getting unwanted sexual attention for just as long.
Since 2001, the musician has been archiving thousands of sexually explicit and overly aggressive messages from men that she’s received in the last decade on the Internet.

On her Instagram account, Matsumiya shares the most awful, sexually forward and unwanted advances from men on social networks ranging from Tinder and OKCupid to MySpace and Facebook.
Mia hopes the messages can be compiled one day into a book, but for now she’s sharing them to raise awareness about how intimidating these things can be for women:
“I definitely don’t deserve to be the recipient of such vitriol, just for posting photos of myself and tweeting and blogging harmless self-expressions. I thought a good place to start actualizing the book would be Instagram. My intention is to bring to light all the horrific things people say to women online when everyone else’s heads are turned.”
Let’s do just that — bring some of these horrifying messages to light (below):
Creepy…
You can find more at HERE, but please note, many are NSFW and the stuff we’re sharing is actually far less explicit than most of what Mia posts on a daily basis!
At least we can be glad Mia is fighting back by raising awareness, if there’s no other way!
