M.I.A. is calling out the VMAs!
On Thursday, the English artist took to Twitter and Instagram to go OFF on the MTV awards show after her video for Borders, which focuses on the refugee crisis, was snubbed from the list of the 2016 nominees.

The vid, which dropped in February, shows people on crammed boats and others climbing over barbed wire border fences.
So when the creative clip didn’t get a nod, the 41-year-old slammed the VMAs for discrimination, posting:
MIA – BORDERS is not included in the VMAs #hahahahhaahahhaha!! Racism sexism classism elitism #dontwantyourlane!

The performer continued to bash the ceremony with minorly NSFW tweets, and explained that she’s not just bitter about not being recognized, saying:
BORDERS came representing people outside US showing ├░┼╕┼Æ┬ì. This is a perfect example of “allowed” voice vs excluded voices .Even if U direct it.
