Misplacing or forgetting your keys is something we’ve all had to deal with at some point or another. Leaving behind your assault rifle, however, is a totally different beast!
New York native Judith Fleissig rented a white Nissan Rogue and was driving around southern Florida when her daughter noticed a bag someone had left behind in the back seat!
Curious as to what was inside, her daughter opened it up and was SHOCKED at what she found: A gun!! And we’re not talking about a little handgun here! We’re talking about a full-on assault rifle!
Judith opened up on the unexpected discovery, saying:
“We got out of the car, we were kind of freaked out. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to touch it.”
The next and most obvious part of the riddle was figuring out who the firearm belonged to, so the mother and daughter took it to the nearest police station and found out it was Lauren Tannehill‘s, wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill!
Apparently, Lauren had rented the car for just a couple of hours before it was handed over to Judith, and we can only assume she was out hunting dinosaurs because we have no other ideas as to why she would be carrying a gun so large!
Surprisingly, Ryan’s wifey wont face any charges as the gun legally belongs to her, and there’s no law against forgetting your assault rifle in a rental car!
It was actually Judith who ran into a bit of trouble with the law as police had to hold onto her until they could confirm the gun wasn’t stolen!
Looks like Lauren should be a little more careful with her assault rifle next time!!
