How Did The Billboard Music Awards Resurrect Michael Jackson? And Just How Long Did It Take To Make It Happen?!

Our jaws are still on the floor thanks to Michael Jackson‘s holographic moonwalk at the Billboard Music Awards 2014.
How exactly did the folks behind-the-scenes create such a eerie and spectacular performance of the unreleased track Slave To The Rhythm??! With technology never used before, that’s how!
The Jackson estate spokeswoman, Diana Baron, explained:

“It’s a whole new technology that we’re not really revealing the details of which, because Michael never revealed the details of his magic.”

And we wouldn’t have it any other way, but Diana DID admit that the show took two year’s worth of preparation!
While many insisted the projected image of the late icon was from a previous performance, it was actually created SPECIFICALLY for the event thanks to an idea from October 2012.
She continued:

“Michael always wanted to do these kinds of things. Really, it starts with Michael Jackson more than anything.”

TRUE.
Even though some thought it was creepy, if it is what Michael would’ve wanted, then we’re ALL for it!
Still, let’s hope there are no plans to take his hologram on tour though…
…that just wouldn’t be right.
