The remaining contestants on X Factor Wednesday night honored Michael Jackson by performing some of his greatest hits for MJ night in honor of the 29th anniversary of his iconic album Thriller.
To make the night extra special, his children, Paris, Prince, and Blanket Jackson, as well as his mom Katherine Jackson were sitting in the audience for the show’s taping.
The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. Paula Abdul later went and chatted with Katherine while fellow judge Simon Cowell spoke with MJ’s brothers Marion and Jackie.
It was a special treat, and also a wonderful distraction, after the Conrad Murray verdict was revealed earlier this week.
We can’t even imagine how they’re feeling, but we’re pretty sure they’re glad that the Murray dramz is (almost) over.
