And they need to pay up FAST!
The Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales earlier this month was a pretty decent success, which we imagine the promoters, Global Live, are taking a lot of credit for. However, what the aren’t doing is paying the people they owe money to to get this concert off the ground.
The company hired Entertainment Travel Company to arrange all the flights for their VIP guests, liked the Jackson family, Christina Aguilera and Jamie Foxx. The company was happy to do so, since it meant a sweet $200,000 payoff in the end. Probably is, ETC hasn’t seen a cent of the money Global Live owes them and their due date has way since passed!
Now, ETC is saying the Global Live people aren’t even answering their calls, even though they were supposed to pay up two weeks ago. If the money doesn’t get to them soon, things are going to get really ugly, really fast. We’re not talking just a lawsuit, which they are most definitly entitled to file. Apparently, there are still a few Jackson family members in the country waiting to fly. It is within the power of ETC to cancel those tickets to make some of their money back. And cancel them, they will, if they have to start playing hardball!
