Michelle Monaghan Reveals How She Maintains Her Fabulous Figure In Health

Michelle Monaghan, who can currently be seen starring in Machine Gun Preacher, is a classic Hollywood beauty without any of the Hollywood drama!
In an interview for the November issue of Health magazine, hitting the newsstands on Friday, the grounded actress reminds us why!
That married mother of one believes her blue collar, small town childhood in Iowa allows her to put all of her success in perspective, saying:

“I come from a very working class background. My dad worked in a factory for 40 years. We all put ourselves through school. So I’ve never felt entitled to anything.”

That’s always refreshing to hear!
Even more refreshing is her natural glow that has lit up screens in films like Mission: Impossible III, Source Code, and Eagle Eye. None of which, by the way, was inherited from a plastic surgeon’s hands.
The leading lady doesn’t plan on getting any facelifts, boob jobs, or botox injections anytime soon, sharing:

“I don├óΓé¼Γäót think it├óΓé¼Γäós for me├óΓé¼┬ªI├óΓé¼Γäóm not saying I jump for joy when I see new laugh lines, but I would try every possible recourse before going under the knife.├óΓé¼┬¥

One of those recourses is a healthy workout regimen consisting of squats, lunges, and strength training. She also ran a half-marathon last Spring and had plans to do a full one. Key word, is “almost”, as she explained:

“I ran a half-marathon in April with my cousins, mom, and aunts. It was amazing. After that, we had big plans to do the Chicago Marathon, but two weeks later, we were asking, “Are we really going to do it, or were we just on a runner’s high?” I haven’t run since!”

She revealed in the interview that she loves her toned arms, but like other women, will probably never be completely happy with her butt, continuing:

“The old bum and thigh area. I hope most women agree with me! Keeping it toned, dealing with cellulite. I hate when I feel it move after me.”

One thing she is happy with is her decision to quit smoking, revealing:

“I smoked for almost 10 years. I really regret that. Thankfully, I came out on the other side. I hope my lungs are repairing themselves now.”

We hope so too! We’re so proud of Michelle for remaining humble and happy by living a healthy lifestyle. Keep it up, gurl!
