We had high hopes for Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour concert special that aired Sunday at 9PM on NBC — but the ratings are already in, and the show’s final numbers are more busted than a flat tire!
Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour only brought in 2.2 million viewers and 0.8 key demo rating in the first hour, and steadily dropped to 1.85 million viewers and a 0.6 key demo in the second half.
The show was totally watered down from its original seXXX-rated state, as the director used quick cut-aways and clever close up shots to turn down the heat on the raunchy show!
Many were wondering why the network would showcase the concert in the first place — when Mileybird still has an entire leg of her tour left…
But we have a few theories!
Perhaps ticket sales are weak and need a mega-boost, or parents watching can feel better about letting their kids attend after witnessing this version!
Either way it’s all money in Miley’s bank! Regardless of the viewership, she still got paid!
