Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth seem to be taking a breather from their soon-to-be committed forever (until potential divorce) relationship; while Miley says she’s pushing everything aside to focus on her forthcoming album, Liam seems to be working on his fitness…
But WHY did the pair even get engaged in the first place? Especially since they are both STILL so young!
Well, the former Disney starlet dished on her engagement to the Hunger Games hottie in Elle UK‘s upcoming issue, and it seems the reason for saying “yes” and wearing the ring is a LOT less romantic than you might think!
The girl who can’t be tamed revealed:
“We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed.”
Hmmm!
Plus it must have comforted the more “traditional” parents of her young fan base that girl was “promised” to the man she was (probably) boning at the time!
The singer/actress/master twerker also divulged:
“We keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it any more… We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight — into my life and my puppies and my house ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£- and I just don’t feel they get that privilege any more. Like on my Twitter, I’m much more . . . not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. You don’t get that personal stuff anymore.”
Wait… so they don’t even TALK about their relationship anymore? Or they don’t talk about the fact that they’re engaged? Or they don’t talk at all?
We’re a bit confused over here…
Good thing it looks like Miam is taking a breaksie!
We hope they both get the time they need to figure all this sh*t out, you know, BEFORE the wedding invitations are sent.
