When Miley Cyrus invited Jesse Helt to take the stage in her stead at the VMAS, it was to share an important message about youth homelessness.
But it turned out there was a darker side to Jesse’s story – he was a wanted man!
Miley was understandably upset by the uncovering of this news, but it seems Jesse is proving himself to be a young man of some character.
According to the police in Dallas, Oregon, Jesse has turned himself in to authorities!
He was then released on $2,500 bail, and instructed to appear at a hearing in two weeks.
Because Jesse’s arrest warrant was just for violating his probation after already pleading guilty to trespassing, we’re guessing the court won’t be too tough on him.
Miley has offered to help in any way she can, even paying his legal fees! What an amazing friend!
