Ed Sheeran is obvi Team Swifty!
And we’re not surprised considering they are tour buddies.
But we didn’t expect to hear him throwing some serious shade Miley Cyrus‘ way just to stick up for his bestie, Taylor Swift. Guess you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do in the name of friendship!
And Ed’s friendship with Taylor must be strong because he hit at Mileybird and her dance moves just to defend Taylor’s super famous, not-so-scandalicious moves from the Grammys this weekend.
He first explained why Swifty was grooving the way she was:
“[Her dress] broke. There was this country song and she was dancing like Rick Ross and it snapped. It wasn’t really a wardrobe malfunction. It’s what’s meant to happen to a dress like that. You’re not meant to stay in that sort of dress.
But even though her dance style had the backing of her BFF, that didn’t stop Ed from going after Miz Cyrus’ twerking addiction:
“Twerking is what strippers do. It’s a fact. If you go to a strip club, not that I go to strip clubs, but if you go to a strip club, they twerk. You shouldn’t be encouraging little kids to twerk. Stop doing this, Miley Cyrus, please. Stop. Stop. Sing Wrecking Ball. Wrecking Ball is a great song.”
Ouch! That’s gotta burrrrrn!
Well, hopefully Miley just focuses on Ed’s praise of Wrecking Ball.
And we think she just might because with a MAJOR tour coming up, we doubt the twerking is coming to an end anytime soon!
