Of all the brand-new shows coming out this fall, The Mindy Project has got us the most excited!
The new FOX sitcom — created, produced and starring our new girl crush, Mindy Kaling — is about a young doctor looking for love. Okay okay, at first it does kind of sound like a 30 minute version of Grey’s Anatomy — BUT it is soo much more!
The former Office star recently gushed about her new creation, saying:
“I think my character really wants to picture herself as the protagonist in a romantic comedy. I’m someone who loves romance. I always have loved it. Most people who grew up as nerds — as I was, surprisingly — have loved romance.I just wanted to explore love and romance, but with people who are, like, legitimately busy and have busy lives. Especially with women my age, too — I think if you have a career, you’re thinking, like, ‘When is this other side of my life going to click into place?”
Nerds looking for love? SOLD!
That’s like… um… us! And get over yourselves, you are a bunch of romantic nerds too! 😛
There is no reason we all shouldn’t give this show a shot.
