Mindy Kaling, aka the New, New Girl, is starring, writing and running her new show The Mindy Project. The show critics are calling the BEST new comedy of the season!
For some reason this is giving the former The Office star a tiny bit of stress.
In the latest issue of New York Magazine Mindy confesses that being a showrunner has come with a whole new set of challenges she wasn’t anticipating. The adorbz triple threat admits:
“There have definitely been times when I’ve wished I could ask Tina Fey, ‘What do you … ? How do you … ?’ Because, like, all you’re doing [as a showrunner] is answering questions! If I could make a device where people could just intuit everything you are thinking—a little cable you plug into, like, a USB port, I would make a billion dollars.”
BUT, her former Office co-star, B.J. Novak, says that’s bull!
He claims guuurlfriend was born to make this show, and tells the mag:
“I’ve never seen her [Mindy] more calm and confident. This is her element. I think it was honestly more stressful and anxious for her to be on The Office not doing her own show.”

We know Mindy is just like Mary Tyler Moore!
She’s gonna make it on her own! And we cannot wait to watch!
