Here's Why Minnie Driver Had To Get A Restraining Order Against Her 74-Year-Old Neighbor!

UPDATE 7:19 EST: Minnie’s rep released the following statement regarding the situation:

“Regarding the dispute between Minnie Driver and her neighbor, Daniel Perlmutter, the restraining order issued by the Court speaks for itself. This is not the first time Mr.Perlmutter has had issues with his neighbors, according to court records. No further statement will be made, pending further legal action.”

So much for neighborly love!
Minnie Driver obtained a temporary restraining order against her 74-year-old next door neighbor Daniel Perelmutter, according to docs in El Lay Superior court.
The Good Will Hunting star says Perelmutter has told her to “f*ck off and die” during several heated confrontations, TMZ reports.

In the most recent incident last week, Driver says her elderly neighbor jumped out in front of her car (which has happened before) as she was driving her three children — forcing her to slam on brakes to avoid hitting him. She reported that when she got out of the vehicle, Perelmutter verbally attacked her and blew cigar smoke in her kids’ faces.
While the 45-year-old English actress claims to not know the motive behind the hostility, Perelmutter says there has been an ongoing land dispute between the neighboring properties. He also claims that she purposefully ran him down with her car and is way more aggressive than he is.
Yikes. We just hope this can all be settled without anyone getting injured…
As for the restraining order, Perelmutter is required to stay 15 yards away from both Driver and her children.
Probably for the best until this is all sorted out.
