When the names Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss come to mind, several words come to mind, but the most obvious of them all: models.
Hellooooo, both ladies have scored major endorsement deals, spreads, covers, seriously, all of it. There’s no denying it! Except that’s exactly what these two have done!
Earlier this week, Karlie admitted in an interview:
“I think that├óΓé¼Γäós why I treat myself more as an athlete than just a model. But I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a professional athlete, I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a professional dancer, I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a professional anything; I have never considered modeling an actual job title. I have yet to determine what my job actually is but, yeah, modeling is a fun and funny gig.”
Well, she definitely has the body of an athlete, but c’mon she’s totally a professional model. She’s walked the runways of Victoria’s Secret and DKNY and gets paid to do it!
Though even seasoned supermodel Miranda shared a similar view in the latest issue of Net-A-Porter’s The Edit:
“From my first photoshoot at 14, I never saw myself as a model. If someone asks me what I do, I say, ‘I have my own skincare line.├óΓé¼Γäó I don├óΓé¼Γäót define myself as a model. I like being able to find different aspects of myself and expressing them through a picture. It├óΓé¼Γäós fun. I might as well do it while I can. It├óΓé¼Γäós not going to last forever.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean they can be more than models, which we know they already are!
But why do you think they’re trying to detach themselves from the title??
