Uh-oh!
Looks like there’s some major dramz for the beauty queen from Angola!
It’s only two weeks since Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe, but the scandal has already begun!
Miss Lopes has been accused of forging papers that qualified her to wear the pageant sashes.
There seems to be some confusion surrounding whether or not she falls under legal documentation, but when asked about the craziness, she gracefully responds:
I honestly don’t know where they got that information. I gave Miss Universe all the required documentation. I’m legal. I just would like to begin the work of Miss Universe. What was said doesn’t affect me because I know that [the naysayers] are in the wrong and I’m in the right. I have the documentation in my hands. I’m 100 percent Angolan. The last name Lopes comes from the fact that Angola was colonized by the Portuguese.
The Miss Universe organization has denied any forgery.
Seems like just a bunch of jellahos tryin’ to start shiz if you ask us!
