Miss Vermont was stunned by Miss California‘s answer to our question too!
“Everyone has the right to their own actions, but I totally disagree with Carrie,” said Brooke Werner in a new interview.
“I have a very different perspective on gay marriage and I would never had said what she said.”
Although Werner hails from the latest state to recognize same-sex marriage, the beauty queen revealed that she was not the only one appalled by Prejean’s answer!!
“A lot of people were shocked,” said Werner of the mood backstage after Miss Cali gave us her answer. “We were all giving each other those eyes, we couldn’t believe it.”
Neither could we!!!
And what did Miss Vermont think of the question itself?
“…I thought it was a great question, its a very hot topic right now and was totally appropriate.”
