Missing Teen's Family Find Man 'Covered' In Blood & Riding Her Scooter

This sounds like a scene from a horror movie, but sadly it’s all too real…

According to local Florida outlet KCCI, a 17-year-old’s family called the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in a panic on Sunday. The mother of the teen reported her daughter missing around 11 p.m., and sadly, the situation would get horrifying answers not long after.

While the woman and her other daughter were out looking for the missing girl, they came upon a bone-chilling scene. They found Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney (pictured above) in possession of the missing girl’s scooter, several other personal items of hers, and “covered in apparent blood” — WTF!!

Eventually, cops caught up with the 21-year-old man and asked him what was going on. He refused to answer.

He was then detained and brought to Carroll County Jail where he requested a lawyer. The very next day around 9 a.m. the missing teen’s body was discovered at Farnhamville City Park. Legal documents state the scene “suggests that Bevers-McGivney intentionally hid” the girl’s body in an attempt to conceal a crime. Awful.

Reporters at the park reported seeing blood on the ground near the crime scene. Not only that, it’s suspected this could be a much bigger investigation now. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation were also spotted working alongside the CSO. As of Tuesday evening, Bevers-McGivney has been charged with first-degree murder. A motive is not yet known.

Meanwhile, the unnamed victim’s school system Southeast Valley School District sent out an email on Monday following her slaying, canceling all activities for that day:

“We are all saddened to hear of the tragic death of a Jaguar high school student … Counseling services are available for those who need assistance.”

Later that same day, Superintendent Brian Johnson sent out his own email to the students and parents of the district:

“It is with deep sadness that I share the news of a tragic loss in our school community. We have been informed of the passing of a Southeast Valley High School student, and our thoughts are with the family and friends during this unimaginable time.”

Heartbreaking. And so, so scary.

No additional charges have been pursued against the suspect at this point, but he did have his first day in court on Tuesday. Our hearts go out to the victim and her family. May she get the justice she deserves.
