Agyness Deyn is spreading her wings and venturing into the world of film!
Unlike actresses turning singer/designer/perfumer, this is one type of transition that we welcome with open arms; models have long been making their foray into the entertainment industry, often with great success. Diane Kruger, Halle Berry, Milla Jovovich, Kim Basinger, and Charlize Theron are just a few examples of models who’ve made illustrious careers for themselves in film. Modeling is essentially acting for photographs, after all.
The British supermodel will star opposite fellow Brit and Law & Order star Linus Roache in a short film to be directed by artist Peter McGough of the artist duo McDermott & McGough. McGough hopes to acquire sponsorships from luxury beauty company Guerlain and high-end jeweler Mikimoto to make the film.
How glam! We’re sure it will be beautifully done.
Agy is so capable and knows how to work the camera so well, we’re sure she could be really great in movies. We hope that this is just the first of many silver screen appearances to come!
