As we mentioned yesterday, Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump was busted in Beverly Hills late Tuesday night. He was arrested because of a traffic warrant out for his arrest due to him driving without a valid license. He was then released from jail about four hours later on $15,000 bail.
Now, the balding rocker is speaking out.
He says:
“All I really have to say is ignorance of the law isn’t innocence. I didn’t want to give up my Illinois driver’s license and was unaware that was a crime. It is, by the way, in the state of California. Lesson learned. I technically broke a law, so technically I deserve whatever I get. But man, is my mom gonna be pissed.”
Worst case, if he gets convicted he could face a maximum of six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. But odds are he’ll get off with some sort of small penalty and a slap on the hand.
Thankfully he wasn’t drunk or wasted when he was arrested.
And, don’t worry, we’re sure your momma still loves ya.
