Monkeys are such cute little creatures!
EXCEPT when they attack you.
A North Carolina woman, Patricia Knight, was attacked by a male black-capped Capuchin monkey while watching him for his owner.
The woman was only supposed to care for the monkey for one day, but one day turned into four and the owner has yet to return.
While trying to change the animals water bowl, the primate got a little feisty and jumped over Patricia’s head to escape, scratching and biting her in the process.
Patricia told reporters:
“Animals like this belong in the wild. You can’t make them into humans and babies. Their instinct is finally going to kick in.”
We couldn’t agree more!
The worst part is she doesn’t know when the owner is coming to take the monkey back, leading authorities to investigate if the animal is in compliance with animal control ordinances in the county.
The monkey is currently in Animal Control custody.
