Katie Couric just can’t catch a break.
Evening network news ratings for the week of April 14th have just been released and Katie’s ratings really really sucked.
In fact, last week’s numbers sank to a record ratings low for Katie and the CBS evening news team.
Katie’s CBS broadcast averaged 5.39 million viewers for the week.
NBC’s Brian Williams avereaged 8.1 million viewers and Charles Gibson at ABC, 7.51 million.
On April 18th, CBS president Leslie Moonves made an appearance at a CBS evening news staff meeting and talked about how ‘proud’ he was of Couric and that she would be the network├óΓé¼Γäós flagship anchor for a long time to come.
Let’s see if he lives up to his words should ratings for Katie get worse! The way things are going for Couric, there’s only one place left to go: even lower!
