As we mentioned earlier this week, Aaron Sorkin‘s working on TV show about and now there’s more deets!
The screenwriter said in an interview with BBC:
“I love television, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm going to be doing another television series as well, this time on HBO, and it├óΓé¼Γäós going to take place behind-the-scenes at a nightly cable news show. It├óΓé¼Γäós going to be happening soon. I├óΓé¼Γäóve written the pilot episode and we├óΓé¼Γäóre casting it right now.”
As for research, Sorkin’s gone straight to the source, adding:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóve spent some time at CNN├óΓé¼┬ªwith Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, Fox News, I├óΓé¼Γäóve spent some time being a fly on the wall at those shows├óΓé¼┬ªWhat the hope is, is that I can bring the same kind of idealism and romanticism that made government seem sexy on The West Wing, and I can bring it to the news and journalism, which in America is held in at least as much contempt as government.”
