This is terrible!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (AKA the Mormons) just released a major policy announcement ordering that no child living in a same-sex household can be blessed or baptized within the church!

According to Eric Hawkins, a spokesman for the church, the decision — which was announced on Thursday afternoon — is effective immediately:
“A natural or adopted child of a parent living in a same-gender relationship, whether the couple is married or cohabiting, may not receive a name and a blessing.”
Ugh.
Hey, we get it ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ your church, your rules. But that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do, being so callously and openly bigoted towards innocent children who are the product of loving same-sex relationships!

According to the church’s new policy, the only way a child living in a same-sex household will be allowed to be baptized comes after they turn 18, and they publicly disavow same-sex cohabitation and move out of the household.
Like we’ve seen recently in other events, picking the church over the needs and love of a family is NOT a good thing, and we’re certain it will prove to be a short-sighted move by a church that just doesn’t seem to get it.
What do U think about this controversial new policy??
