This is the worst kind of news.
A mother in California named Carol Coronado has been arrested after the 30-year-old woman’s three daughters were found murdered in their Torrance home.
The horrific incident happened sometime on Tuesday afternoon. Around 5pm police found a 3-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 2-month-old covered in blood in their mother’s bed. They weren’t alone.
The woman was also in the bed and was found completely naked, clutching onto a knife when the police arrived.
She has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. Though, we’re not sure how much suspicion they need.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released a statement that said:
“When they arrived, they were met by family members who told the deputies that a mother had killed her children.”
One of the neighbors claims that she heard, when the police arrived, that the mother was trying to cut her wrists with a kitchen knife before she was arrested. She also repeated the husband’s alleged reaction, saying:
“I saw when they were bringing him out. He was crying. He was crying, ‘She killed my daughters!'”
No motives are yet known as to why a mother would commit such a horrendous act, and yet we doubt there’s an explanation in the world that would explain such a terrible atrocity.
