It looks like Skins will survive to fight another day!
Despite the HUGE drop in ratings — from 3.3 million in the first week to 1.6 million in the second — MTV is going to keep producing the show.
Said the network:
“Skins has earned the loyalty of fans across the globe for its thoughtful and honest portrayal of teen life today. An internationally acclaimed scripted drama, the show has been honored with a long list of prestigious awards.”
According to some reports, the ratings in the second week actually surpassed what MTV expected, so things may not even be so bad after all.
All we have to say is that the show-runners better step up the writing if they want to keep MTV on their side!!
