British Actress Mya-Lecia Naylor Dead At 16 After Collapsing

Another star is gone far, far too soon.
Mya-Lecia Naylor, who is best known for her roles in shows like Absolutely Fabulous and Millie Inbetween, has passed away at just 16 years old.
The British actress’ cause of death is currently unknown; however, her agency A&J Management revealed that she died on April 7 after she collapsed.

CBBC, the network that airs Millie Inbetween and Naylor’s other popular show, Almost Never, confirmed her death in a statement, writing:

“We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, has very sadly died. Mya-Lecia was a much loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer and dancer. We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends. We know this news is very upsetting, and it may help to share how you are feeling with friends or a trusted adult. Alice Webb, the director of BBC Children’s, said the news of the death has left her team “distraught and so terribly sad.” She noted in a statement:

“She has shone so brightly on our screens … and it’s unthinkable that she won’t be part of our journey going forward. She was hugely popular with our audience, a very talented actress, dancer and singer, and a real role model for her young fans.”

In addition to appearing in Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, the actress appeared alongside Tom Hanks in the 2012 film Cloud Atlas and recently performed as part of the band Angels N’ Bandits.
According to a post on her Instagram Stores, Mya’s management team took the liberty of wiping her Instagram account clean out of respect for her privacy. In a separate post, the team revealed that they would be posting “exclusive videos and memories” on Mya’s Snapchat account (baefeels) so fans could remember the late star. See (below):
