Naomi Campbell is mourning the loss of Liam Payne, her one-time boyfriend.
The One Direction star died after jumping from his hotel balcony in Argentina. The investigation has already discovered a lot of drugs in his system, but it’s still ongoing. In the meantime he’s being mourned by everyone who knew him.

Just over a week after Liam’s tragic passing on October 16, Naomi took to her Instagram on Friday to honor the singer. Rather than share her own post, the supermodel left a comment under her friend Nicole Scherzinger‘s heartfelt tribute to the 31-year-old, sharing just a few meaningful emojis. See (below):

Naomi and Liam dated briefly in 2019 when she was 48 and he was 25. At the time of the split in April of that year, a source told The Mirror that they “had a lot of fun together” but that the romance “wasn’t meant to be.” They reportedly left things on good terms after about four months — and were planning “to stay friends.”
While Naomi has not posted a more formal statement of her own, it’s clear she’s mourning him in her own way. Our thoughts to her and everyone grieving Liam’s death! R.I.P.
