Nara Smith has amazing news!!
On Instagram on Friday, the influencer shared a hopeful message from herself and her husband Lucky Blue Smith about their daughter’s cancer battle. As you may have heard, their 2-year-old Whimsy Lou was diagnosed with cancer. She revealed her daughter’s battle earlier this month in an emotional post.
But now, she’s got some good news to share. At the start of her video, Nara said:
“I just wanted to come on here and say thank you so so much for all your kind words and messages, prayers, support. It has truly meant so, so much to us. Lucky and I have been going through this and processing it for the last eight months. We were debating even sharing such a private part of our life.”
She continued:
“We decided to wait until she was done with treatment and us knowing what the outcome of her situation would be before sharing it and even finding the words to share it. Now that she’s finally in remission, it felt like I could find the words to share.”
Wonderful!!
We LOVE to hear this! We can’t imagine how much the Smith family has been going through with all this. We bet that was the most relieving thing to hear.

While talking about her reason to share Whimsy’s private battle so publicly, Nara said she wanted to “shed light on what so many families go through and battle privately”:
“Going through [Whimsy’s] chemo treatments opened my eyes to how expensive medical care is and what a toll it takes on families, specifically. I’ve been researching charities and foundations to support. In the meantime, I want to post some links that could help families.”
Wrapping up her video, she said:
“Lucky and I have been trying to [focus on] everyday life and [are] taking it day by day. I don’t know whether life will ever feel normal again, but we’re trying to navigate this next chapter the best that we can. But with all that being said, thank you so much to every single person for your kindness. I’m sending all my love to families that are actively still going through this fight.”
