No one knows about grieving over the loss of a President more than Jackie Kennedy.
And while the assassination of a president is exponentially more tragic than the political upset of the 2016 election, we can’t help but feel Natalie Portman is crying for us in the new full-length trailer for Jackie.
The Oscar-winner weeps her way through the footage as the First Lady of Camelot, showing just how devastated she is by the 1963 assassination of her husband, John F. Kennedy.

Aside from plenty of shots with that iconic pink dress and pillbox hat, we see the former FLOTUS post-assassination coping with loss, planning the funeral, and looking visibly distraught in different rooms.
It’s almost as if it’s here to remind us: we got through this, America… we can get through anything.
