All we can say is — WOW!!!
A Halloween costume for toddlers has been pulled from the shelves of Walmart after customers complained that it was sexualizing toddlers.
The costume itself wasn’t inappropriate, but the name of the costume was “Naughty Leopard” which understandably caused a lot of parents some distress!
A Walmart spokesperson apologized for the costume and said:
“It was never our intention to offend anyone and we apologize to any customers who may have been offended by the name of the costume.”
We definitely think that Walmart did the right move by pulling this from their shelves.
Even if they didn’t mean to anger a lot of parents – it’s better to nip this controversy in the bud before letting everything get out of hand.
Besides — that costume wasn’t even that cute anyway!
