Though Naya Rivera’s son will never get to be with her again on this Earth, she did leave behind a beautiful legacy that will let him to get to know her a little more.
The Glee alum’s baby daddy and ex-husband Ryan Dorsey sat down with People for an interview about all things Naya recently, and revealed an emotional story about watching Glee: The 3D Concert Movie with their son Josey for the first time. He told the outlet:
“His grandma showed him her on TV. He wanted to watch the Glee movie.”

Glee ran for six years from 2009 to 2015. At the height of its success in 2011, the cast came together for a summer concert tour, which was documented in the feature film. And while Josey may have been ready to see his momma years after her death at Lake Piru, Ryan struggled to watch. He told the outlet:
“I tried to watch it but it’s still like, pictures are enough. I can’t just sit there and watch her sing, it’s hard for me.”
That must be so difficult! But Josey loved it — even though seeing his momma did end up bringing tears to his eyes:
“He sat there and he watched the whole movie, and you could see his eyes welling up a little bit. He’s a strong boy.”
OMG! That’s so heartbreaking. Poor little guy. Ryan added:
“He has a lot of content and episodes. His mom will live forever. I think that’s a silver lining if that’s a way of putting this terrible situation.”
