Well, such was the brilliant idea of NBA star Richard Jefferson.
Yesterday, we told y’all about his shitty ways. Now, he’s speaking out to defend himself!
Only days before his planned nuptials to fiancee Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols, Dick sent her an email announcing that the wedding was off. He explains in an interview that, “There was a lot of stress and tension in the relationship. We’ve been through a lot — but we just couldn’t continue.”
Doesn’t sound like she knew much about the tension as friends say she is dealing with a lot of “grief.”

But she won’t have time to be sad for too long, and here’s where the story goes from crappy to curious. The Spurs’ newest player is planning to give Kesha a “six-figure” pay-out because of the cancellation. Mind you, they never actually got married, so she has no claim to anything. But he wants to give her this money, saying: “I’m not trying to buy her off. She has a lump sum to help her move on.”
That is a pretty big lump sum and it sure as hell doesn’t make up for the embarrassment and pain this girl must be going through. Unless, this was a planned arrangement and this was how it was always going to go down. There have been rumors that Richard has been hanging out in the closet for many years. Perhaps this was a deal he and Kesha had made some time ago.
Richard denies this accusation, of course, claiming that nothing could be “farther from the truth”, but we’re not convinced.
