NBC is pouting and moaning that the White House doesn’t like them.
The network has filed a formal complaint with Washington, claiming that rival network, ABC, has been receiving favoritism and more interviews with the President than they do.
Specifically, the claim suggests that newly appointed ABC News anchor, George Stephanopoulos, received his current interview with Barack Obama because of his friendship with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
Obviously, the NBC crew hasn’t done their homework – Emanuel has nothing to do with what interviews the president does. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs does.
Course, we can understand why the White House would be avoiding having the President on their network. It would be really embarrassing if Obama was promised an interview, it was promoted and all set, than seven minutes into talking, execs pull the plug and put in Jay Leno.
Never going to live that down. NEVER!
