Now what!
Ne-Yo is facing down a lawsuit from the promoters of his canceled 2008 New Year’s Eve concert in Washington state.
The promoter claims that not only was he not refunded the money for the canceled gig by Ne-Yo’s booking agent, but he also has a “damaged” reputation.
The lawsuit seeks $1 million dollars in damages, to refund the $95,000 deposit and the rest to clean up his rep. (Sure, it will take that much money! Why are you questioning it???)
The real question is, why did Ne-Yo cancel the show in the first place? If he has a decent enough of an excuse, he may walk away winning this thing.
But we’ll have to wait and see.
