This sounds like a nice alternative to getting a needle at the doctor’s office, but we’re still not sure how we feel about it.
Scientists at MIT and Mass. Gen have come up with a way to take your medicine orally as opposed to intravenously.
But it isn’t just your run of the mill pill. The way it works is once the compartment passes your stomach and hits the intestine, a coating on the pill will dissolve, and small needles will prick your insides as it goes through your digestive tract! AHHHH!
While it might be nice to not have to see the needle going in your arm, we think that small needles inside your organs could be dangerous — but they claim it’s painless, and we suppose we should trust the experts!

Plus, the penny-sized pill isn’t edible, so you’re still going to have to carry that around for a while longer, if you get what we mean.
But hey, they’re scientists and we’re just writers, so they probably have a slightly better idea of what they’re talking about.
