NeNe Leakes Supports Husband Gregg As He Rejects Chemotherapy On Tough Episode Of 'RHOA'

NeNe Leakes was on hand to support her husband Gregg as he weighed his options on whether to go ahead with chemotherapy or reject the treatment in favor of alternative medicine to battle his stage three colon cancer.

In the episode, we see the star sitting in the hospital with her 64-year-old husband after doctors complete a battery of tests on him; quickly, the pair meet with an oncologist to discuss holistic treatments and other forms of therapy that hopefully won’t leave Gregg as sick and weak as chemo.
And while the oncologist on hand suggests that chemo is the natural course to ensure cancer doesn’t ever return to Gregg’s body after this, the 50-year-old reality TV star’s husband ultimately opts to avoid chemotherapy… for now.
Speaking to Cynthia Bailey later in the episode, he explained his decision for turning down chemo at this point in the treatment process:

“If the cancer was more active I would entertain chemo a lot quicker. I’m deciding to really take my life and use it as a mouthpiece for other people I just want to use my life in a way to help someone. So I can say I’m Gregg Leakes and I have cancer, but I will be a survivor.”
