N.E.R.D.‘s comeback has a powerful message!
Following their collab with Rihanna, the group released the music video for their new track 1000 featuring Future on Wednesday, and it’s very clearly focused on the fight against white supremacy and neo-Nazis.
While it does see the return of dancer Mette Towley, the clip jumps around to different clips of protests, including a vintage video of the Dead Kennedys saying “Nazi redneck assholes can fuck off!”

As we saw over the summer, the group’s frontman Pharrell Williams has not been ignorant to the country’s social issues, taking two knees during Dave Matthews‘ Concert for Charlottesville: An Evening of Music and Unity.
And it seems like he’s far from done using his actions for the greater good!
We’re curious to see what else N.E.R.D.’s album, No_One Ever Really Dies, will have in store when it comes out December 15.
