Next summer, the geniuses at Nestlé will be releasing a brand new candy that will forever change the way you look at chocolate and redefine sweets as we know them!
Starting in 2014, Butterfinger will be unveiling their brand new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups!
The innovative snack offers smooth and creamy peanut butter conveniently wrapped up in a chocolate cup!
Wait, where have we heard this before?
Oh, right. They sound EXACTLY like Reese’s!!!
Despite the obvious similarities, Gary Stibel, CEO at New England Consulting Group, seems to think Nestl├â┬⌐ has stumbled on a game-changer, and says Reese’s will have to make room for the competition:
“Butterfinger will have something that Reese’s doesn’t. There is definitely room for two in this market segment.”
Hmmm. So what exactly is the difference??
Well Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups will also be filled with peanut butter flakes to give it that signature crunch we love oh, so much!!
Meanwhile, the competition at Hershey seem completely unfazed the Nestlé moving in on their territory!
And why should they be? The candy conglomerate brings in around $420 million a year!!
We’re still not sure where we stand on this battle for ultimate peanut butter bragging rights, but we guess we’ll just have to wait until next year and see!
