Step Up 2 The Streets director Jon M. Chu may be stepping up to direct the next installment in the G.I. Joe franchise after the success of his most recent film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.
The franchise follow-up is a high-priority project for Paramount, the same studio responsible for Never Say Never, which hopes to have production underway by June for a 2012 release.
This would be quite the dramatic leap for the director who has never taken on action before, but great action scenes really are just a ballet of fists and carefully executed slow motion, so we can see his previous experience with dance flicks working out well.
The real question on our minds is…WILL JUSTIN BIEBER BE IN IT!?!!
