We’re talking a brand-spankin new Buffy, as in no more Sarah Michelle Gellar!
The widely popular TV series (based on a little-seen shitty film), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, may be making a comeback to the big screen, but without the help of anyone who made it worth watching.
The owners to the series rights, Kuzui Enterprises, are looking to create a relaunch of the of series, much like the newly vamped (no pun intended) up blockbuster movie Star Trek. The film would have no connection to the TV series, no inclusion of familiar characters, and as for now, does not even include the masterful work of Buffy creator Joss Whedon.
This, of course, begs the question of who the hell is going to see this movie if the fans don’t even have the creator to fall back on to make the shit work?
We guess it would mean a new slayer for a new generation. But we think the only slayer any generation is interested in is Buffy herself. Maybe there should be more efforts on the reunion then a revamp (pun intended)!
