Sounds like we’re getting closer to having some definitive answers.
Yesterday, we heard that an autopsy was scheduled to be performed on the body of Whitney Houston, and it was looking like she might have drowned in her hotel room bathtub at the Beverly Hilton.
Now, sources from Whitney’s family are saying that the L.A. County Coroner’s office has told them that she didn’t drown to death. The family is being told that she died from “what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol.”
The Coroner’s office also reportedly told the family that there wasn’t enough water in Whitney’s lungs to conclude that she had drowned.
Sources from Whitney’s family are also saying that her body was discovered by her aunt Mary Jones, even though we had previously heard that her hairdresser was the one who found her.
We’re hearing that Whitney’s mother is having her body flown back to Atlanta, possibly as soon as tomorrow…unless the police put “a hold” on the body. Given the fact that the Coroner hasn’t found evidence of foul play, we’d say the police shouldn’t have a problem with this.
Stay tuned for more concrete details.
