New Evidence Found In Missing Girl Case, Man's Body Found Near Crime Scene

There’s been a new lead in the case of 10-year-old Holly Piiraine whose body was found after she went missing for two months in 1993.
Massachusetts authorities say that a man’s body has been found near the site where Holly’s remains were found by a hunter, almost 20 years ago.
The man, who has been identified as David Edmund Pouliot died in 2003 and is not considered a suspect in Holly’s murder case. He was a lifelong resident in Springfield, MA and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and served in the Vietnam War.
For those of you who don’t remember the case, Holly went missing in Sturbridge, MA in August 5, 1993. She and her brother took a walk to a neighbor’s home to look at a new liter of puppies. Her brother was the only one to return.
Such a sad, sad story.
We’re still not exactly sure how police are connecting Pouliot to Holly, but they do say it’s a break in the case.
Hopefully, more clues will be released and there can finally be some closure for Holly’s family.
