The new film version of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction masterpiece Dune has once again hit a snag…a BIG one this time!
After almost a year in development, it looks like Taken director Pierre Morel has left the project and Paramount is just about ready to call it quits.
The studio plans to put the project into turnaround and sell off the rights if progress isn’t made on the film by Spring.
Guess we’ll see if they’re able to find a director who feels ready to take this project on. It’s no small task!
We’d certainly like to see this movie get made, but we’d like to see it done right, so maybe it’s not the worst thing if they hold off until someone truly devoted to the project takes over.
