No surprises here! This movie looks great!
We are very pleased to announce that Pedro Almodovar’s new movie The Skin I Live In (above) is ALREADY on the Spanish Academy’s shortlist for their foreign-language Oscar contender.
As a reminder, the movie is about a plastic surgeon who devotes his life and work to creating a new type of skin that could sustain any kind of assault, after his wife is badly burned in a car crash.
Previously, Almodovar’s Volver was chosen as a foreign-language Oscar contender, and he’s won a U.S. Academy Award for his Talk to Her original screenplay.
