On Monday, pictures of the One Direction star stepping out of LAX with a black hat surfaced, and well, they basically caused online hysteria!

And no, it wasn’t possibly because the 22-year-old could have touched down in Los Angeles to hang with Selena Gomez, but actually for a much darker reason├óΓé¼┬ª
The color of his hair!
Fans speculated that while the Irish native has been on hiatus, he’s gone and dyed his beautiful blonde hair… brown.

But fun fact: Niall is actually a natural brunette, but was made to dye his hair for X Factor.
