Wow.
Nick Cannon basically quit America’s Got Talent (after eight seasons!) in a lengthy Facebook post Monday morning.
This comes on the heels of drama surrounding a comedy special the 36-year-old starred in called Stand Up, Don’t Shoot, which premiered on February 10 via Showtime.

While discussing race and other controversial topics on the program, Cannon apparently said NBC is taking away his “black card” — and executives at the network took that as a disparaging comment.
Btw, Nick references just that in his apparent public letter of resignation! The drama is fresh, so we’re sure there will be more fallout coming soon.
