Nick Cannon Reveals Dating ‘Double Standard’ He Has For 15-Year-Old Twins With Mariah Carey!

Nick Cannon has different rules for his 15-year-old twins.

The father-of-12 appeared on Saturday’s installment of The TMZ Podcast, where he opened up about a “double standard” he inflicts on Moroccan and Monroe, the twins he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey. When it comes to dating, Nick dished:

“My son been dating and I’ve allowed it. I’ve encouraged it. But my daughter … no, absolutely not.”

He continued:

“First of all, it’s absolutely a double standard … I know I get in trouble a lot because I say things with my chest, but there is a difference when parenting a son and then when parenting a daughter. I am more protective of my daughter because there’s things out there that I have to protect my daughter from, like as we know, there are certain types of individuals that you want to keep your daughter away from.”

But not his son? Nick argued:

“My son, it’s a different conversation when he’s going out into the dating world.”

The Wild ‘n Out host claimed in theory, he wouldn’t have to worry about his son calling him with relationship qualms or to confide in him about abuse, but if someone were to “put their hands on [his] daughter, [he’s] going to jail.”

“I’m doing 25 to life is somebody puts their hands on my daughter.”

As for if he’s worried about “gold diggers” for his son, Nick joked:

“No, he got a whole lot of money. His momma’s Mariah Carey. He’s good.”

LOLz!

Nick doubled down:

“If some man puts their hands on my daughter, it’s my worst nightmare because I’m going to jail forever.”

We get that feeling of protectiveness, but abuse can happen in ANY relationship!

As for when he will give Monroe the OK to date, Nick shared:

“We made a deal, if she can explain to me what’s going to happen on these dates, then she can go … first of all, it started out with crushes, and then she explained it to me. She was like, ‘Dad, a crush is like Michael B. Jordan or guys that I see that are actors or athletes. I kind of admire them from afar for whether [it be] their skill set, or they are handsome, or what.’”

Nick recalled thinking:

“Alright, I can rock with a crush. Then she was like, ‘When can I start dating?’ I was like, ‘What’s going to happen on these dates? Your twin brother can go with you … you ain’t going one on one with no little bastard anywhere.’”

He continued:

“I’m preparing her for college, and I know it [will be] out of my control, I can’t do nothing about it. Hopefully, having all these open conversations, my daughter will tell me any and everything, and even though I’m apprehensive, if we can have a conversation about it, I’m for it. Because I know when you get to college, I want you to have all the questions answered and make the best decisions possible.”

But for the meantime, Nick doesn’t want Monroe going on ANY dates! Listen to more (below):
