GREAT idea!
Nick Jr. is Nickelodeon’s sister channel, and contains original programming aimed at 2-6 year olds. But NOW, they’re including a primetime programming block, which will target adults, specifically moms.
Between 9 PM to 1 AM nightly, Nick Jr. will feature a mix of original humor-based programming that will include talk shows, docu-series, stand-up and sketch comedy, hidden camera and game shows, just for moms!
The NickMom website says:
“Today├óΓé¼Γäós moms who grew up with Nickelodeon have a renewed relationship with us through their kids, and now we have something for them as adults in NickMom.”
So far, 30 projects are already in the works, which the network plans to launch sometime late 2012.
With the relaunch of so many childhood movies and TV shows from the ’80s like The Muppets, The Smurfs, etc, that are aimed at the parents who grew up watching them, this seems like a great idea for Nick Jr.
We’d totally watch this!
