This is just so devastating…
Tylor Chase, who you probably know as Martin Qwerly from Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, has been spotted living on the streets in California. In a resurfaced TikTok video that went viral over the weekend, the poster claims to have found the 36-year-old child star outside a convenience store in Riverside. They wrote in the caption of their video:
“This is so sad ran into the boy that used to play on Nickelodeon I remember watching him as a kid.”
In the clip, the videographer asks a disheveled Tylor if he played on the Disney Channel, to which he corrected them and said it was actually Nickelodeon. He introduced himself by stating his name, and saying he was on Ned’s Declassified. See the video (below):

Across social media, fans reacted to the video:
“I feel like crying. That poor guy.”
“this actually breaks my heart”
“The Hollywood industry is sick”
“Jesus, this is too much
keeping him in my prayers”
“God only knows what these kids went through. So so so sad.”
Some even called out the video’s original poster for filming him in such a vulnerable state:
“Like why tf you filming dude like this? Mfs are sick.”
“So what’s the point of this video…? Are you helping him or is the person filming helping them or just making clout content..?”
“Why record him tho”
“filming a dude at rock bottom for clicks is gross, either help him or keep walking”
“Why would you record him unless it’s to try and get him help? Shame on you.”
Originally, Tylor’s situation was brought to the attention of the public back in September, when another fan met him and even opened a GoFundMe to help him “get back on his feet”. Sadly, not long after the campaign began, the TikToker @lethallalli deleted it. At the time, Tylor’s mom reportedly said that he needed “medical attention” instead:
“Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it. I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money for his meds by himself.”
His former costars Lindsay Shaw, Devon Werkheiser, and Daniel Curtis Lee even addressed his situation on their podcast Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide earlier this year, where they said they’d do what they can to get him the help he needs. You can see that episode (below):
Fans of the show have fond memories Tylor’s character Martin as being the fast-talking honor student who hung out with other fan-favorite characters like Coconut Head and Lisa Zemo. It’s truly heartwarming to see everyone sending so much love to someone who brought them joy throughout his time on the show.
We hope he can get the help he needs. Sending love and light.
